TRAK3000®
A SMC Software ‘real time’ article
tracking utility
TRAK3000® is built
leveraging from the internet technologies incorporated in the Microsoft®
Server platform. The design and architecture of the product is designed for
users with limited computer based tool experience. TRAK3000® also leverages
off the modern communication technologies available in most environments
-
The design incorporates
the concept of multiple unlimited defined “transition points” known as “TP’s”,
which can be fixed or mobile to define the current position of the article
being tracked.
-
TRAK3000® links to
standard GPS systems and reports mobile “TP’s” positions
-
The “TP’s” are all linked
to the central server or servers and report all transactions in real time
using the available network protocols.
-
The identification of
articles can be via any logical input method such as barcodes or
transponder chips or a simple keyboard.
-
TRAK3000® generates all
documentation required for the relevant “TP’s”
-
TRAK3000® generates a
manifest of the logical transport volumes by destination for articles of
varying volume and mass
-
TRAK3000® also provides
routing instructions for mobile “TP’s” for initialisation transactions.
-
If TRAK3000® is exposed
to the internet external users are able to get up to the minute status
verification of the exact position of the article
-
Final delivery
documentation is electronically recorded using standard cell phone
technology and digitized in the TRAK3000® database.
