Intesure, How does it work?
Intesure has been based on a technology known as "Thin Client".

Thin Client technology in a nutshell is an application or program which is accessible through a "Website" or "Internet Browser" and is in effect a virtual application. Virtual applications are based on "Thin Client technology" and is an extremely effective alternative to loading off-the-shelf boxed software on to a computer i.e. "Thick Client" whereas a "Thin Client" is available immediately through the "Internet".

Using Thick Client technology has until recently been the market trend for many businesses in the application field and there have been endless problems with this technology due to high maintenance requirements e.g. if a computer has a virus, or a non-validated user gains access the end result is either the re-loading of your software or to lose vital information.

Using "Thin Client" technology the entire application is accessible through a browser which will be centrally located on the "Internet" or directly in your own office via a secure link!

All you require is an "Internet Explorer" browser in order to facilitate this service.

Our website design and architecture has been developed in Microsoft’s ASP (Active Server Pages) which has enabled us structure to design an entire Policy Management Application within an “Internet Web Browser”. This in turn enhances the ability of SMC Software Ltd. to be a more cost effective alternative to any Thick Client application, this being particularly so relative to the level of bandwidth required.

We secure Intesure by using the latest encryption technology available on the market. As we have designed Intesure on a Microsoft platform we use Microsoft security. This is known as SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security with encryption from Verisign (THAWTE), or the preferred encryption standards set by our clients.
